Maya Bay

Maya Bay, located on Phi Phi Ley Island in Thailand, gained global fame from its appearance in the film 'The Beach'. The calm bay is encircled by soaring limestone cliffs draped in lush jungle, creating a naturally secluded feel. It has pristine blue water and the softest white sand. Recently reopened to the public after a closure to recover from environmental damage caused by heavy tourism, access has been carefully controlled to protect its environment. The best time to visit is during late January to March when the ocean is calm, glassy, and crystal clear. Swimming is not allowed, but visitors can dip their feet in the water.
